It looks ‘gamer’ through and through, thanks in part to its RGB-laden case with transparent tempered glass side and front panels. The array of vibrant yet tasteful RGB lighting on the side fans and through the back panel adds to its allure.
What’s more, its premium allure is more than skin deep: the Gamer GMA2900A2 packs some beefy hardware for the price: AMD Ryzen 7 8700F processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card, 16GB DDR5 RAM and 1TB SSD storage. As you would expect given these components, the general perfroamnce is excellent, and 1080p gaming is joyful, making it a good choice for anyone looking for top-draw performance without breaking the bank.

Design & Features
Most pre-built gaming desktops have a thing with LED lights all over the chassis: in fact, we’re yet to review one that doesn’t feature lots of colorful lights all over the place. CyberPowerPC, just like iBuyPower and Skytech, tends to be overzealous with LEDs, and the latest Gamer Master is no exception. This entry-level gaming PC comes with a full array of lights spread all over the chassis, from the front panel, sides, and around the cooling fans.
For this year’s Gamer Master GMA2900A2, CyberPowerPC uses the all-popular Prism 321V case that we’ve seen in the CyberPowerPC GXiVR8080A39 that we reviewed last year. Even with slight modifications in the color scheme from black and silver, the Prism 321V case is a Lian Li-manufactured case that’s best known for its near-seamless integration of a 3-D effect with a wraparound glass panel that covers the entire front and side panels, showcasing a PC’s innards in full glory.
We have interacted with this case before, and we love its implementation of the wraparound effects that provide a beautiful view of a PC’s internals, especially when combined with RGB components. Beyond the aesthetics, this case is easy to work with and provides ample space for good airflow to keep temperatures stable. The Skytech King 95, on the other hand, uses an almost identical Montech King 95 Pro case, only that the latter offers more space for bigger fans and up to 175mm of air cooler height, meaning you get a perfectly cooled PC out of the box.
So, regardless of whether you like the RGB galore in both cases, the entire package is drop-gorgeous. In the case of the Gamer Master, the mod-tier chassis is all black with sharp edges, and the interior is spacious and neatly arranged. You can see the 120mm cooling fans breathing in action in tandem with the RGB LEDs.
The front of the chassis has a CyberPowerPC logo in a raised glass casing; most of the glass is the same shadowy glass as the side panel, and part of the top panel is a dust filter with easy front access ports. For connectivity, there are both front and back I/O ports, in addition to an HDMI and a pair of DisplayPort inputs on the RTX 5060 Ti graphics card.
Gaming and Graphics Performance
Under the hood, the Gamer Master GMA2900A2 boasts AMD’s Ryzen 7 8700F processor, Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti graphics card, 16GB DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD storage. This configuration is decent at this price point, especially among pre-builts from SkyTech, or iBuyPower, but a similar machine from, let’s say, HP or Lenovo will cost almost twice as much.
As specced, the Master GMA2900A2 is ready for mainstream 1080p gaming and content creation since the Ryzen 7 can drive creator apps, and the RTX 5060 Ti is ready for modern titles and is VR Ready, meaning it can drive the HTC VIVE and Oculus Rift.
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is a mid-range desktop GPU in the Blackwell architecture and combines 4,608 CUDA cores to deliver steady gameplay across the range. The RTX 5060 Ti plays Assassin’s Creed Shadows at 1920 x 1080 (high settings) resolution and still maintains over 65 fps, but it drops to around 48 fps in QHD resolution.
The CyberPowerPC GMA2900A2 is a beautiful and powerful mid-tower gaming PC that’s highly upgradeable and carries an affordable starting price.
The Gamer Master’s competition includes the Alienware Aurora R16 with an intel Core I7-14700F processor and RTX 5060 Ti GPU and the iBuyPower Trace Mesh with a Core i7-1400F chip and RTX 5060 Ti graphics card. The Master GMA2900A2 is the cheapest in that category, costing just over a grand, and you can always find it on sale.
The similar load-outs of these machines translate to similar results in benchmark tests, where the Master GMA2900A2 was rarely more than a few frames per second (fps) above or below the iBuyPower and the Alienware.
In Civilization 7 (high settings), the CyberPowerPC’s 203 fps at 1080p is within one fps of the others. All machines tie with 63 fps at 4K. Doom: The Dark Ages (Ultra) registers similarly close results, the Gamer Master GMA2900A2 averaging 82.1 fps at 1080p, but the iBuyPower fares better with 87fps, but all deliver around 46fps in 4K.
On Cyberpunk 2077 (Ray Tracing Ultra) is a tough game to run, but the Master GMA2900A2 still manages around 58 fps at 1080p and just over 22 fps at 4K. The CyberpowerPC doesn’t stand out, but neither does any of the others.
Productivity & Everyday Use
With the AMD Ryzen 7 8700F, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB SSD storage, the GMA2900A2 is a productivity workhorse and is more than usable for content creation and can handle some light video editing. Plus, the spacious case design makes for a good productivity machine that will fit on a small desk, provided you can look beyond the RGB lighting on the case.
Overall, the Gamer Master GMA2900A2 is an undeniably powerful machine, and the fact that it comes in a compact design makes it a great choice for most users, and it will not have to pay a premium for the privilege. If you need something nice looking and great at both gaming and productivity, then this is the ideal system.
CyberPowerPC GMA2900A2 Review: Bottom line
The CyberPowerPC Gamer GMA2900A2 is solid value for gamers seeking a budget-friendly desktop. Equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 8700F and a GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, it promises solid 1080p performance, and some 1440p gameplay as well. We are also impressed by its elegant Prism 360V case, quiet RGB fans, aftermarket upgradability, and robust lighting controls.
Next to the competition, CyberPowerPC GMA2900A2 provides better value than most similarly priced gaming PCs from mainstream brands like HP and Lenovo; it also features standardized parts for superior upgradability. It’s quieter than the MSI Codex R2 and less expensive than the Alienware Aurora R16.
Overall, the CyberPowerPC GMA2900A2 is a fantastic all-around gaming PC if you’re looking to buy your budget gaming PC pre-built.
