Liriodendron tulipifera grows to a conical-shaped tree, perfect for specimen planting. It features large green leaves in spring and summer which turn to shades of buttery golden yellow in autumn. In summer, older trees produce masses of stunning tulip-shaped yellow-green flowers tinged with a hint of orange.
Your Tulip tree will grow in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil and will reach a height of 14m and a spread of 7m in a 20 year period. It is fully hardy and will flourish in full sun. This imposing tree is ideal for larger gardens. Plant nest to a water feature or a lovely hide-away with a reading bench.
