The Dell 24 All-in-One (EC24250) is a compact desktop solution designed for use at home or at the office. It combines reliable performance with a sleek design and is powered by the newer Intel Core 3-100U processor, alongside 8GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB SSD storage. Our review model – Dell EC24250 features a 23.8-inch Full HD display, which is pretty decent for most home-office users.

Dell offers a 27-inch version of this base model, with high-end specs including an Intel Core 7 150U processor, an FHD Touch display, 32GB RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce MX570A graphics card. While graphical intensity isn’t a focus of our review model, Dell has focused on delivering an AIO PC that’s simple and easy to use, at a very reasonable price. Plus, since everything is built into this compact computer, it’s easy to showcase on a front desk, in a classroom, a home office desk, or even in a small retail business.

In all its worth, Dell’s 24-inch AIO checks most boxes, including visual quality, port selection, webcam fidelinty ad included wireless peripherals. The desktop is a good choice for day-to-day tasks and media streaming, but its laptop-grade internals limit performance for anything beyond that. Regardless, for families or office users on a tight budget, the Dell 24 is the midrange AIO to beat.

Design & Build Quality

The Dell EC24250 AIO is very sleek, better build and sturdier compared to the HP 24-CR0112 AIO we reviewed a while back. But that’s just part of the charm that makes this PC appealing to the right audience. In a small office, medical office, school, or home office, you don’t always want a big flashy computer workstation with multiple monitors, huge desktops, laptops, or big speakers. You most definitely want something simple, easy to maintain, and easy to use, all while not drawing attention to the computer. That’s exactly what you get with this DELL AIO.

As with previous models, the EC24250 AIO sports a clean, modern look bolstered with slim screen bezels, a clean speaker bar, and a pop-up webcam for enhanced privacy. The main unit is supported on a pair of triangular stands that provide solid desk stability, but the wide footprint might limit it to desks rather than kitchen countertops.

It doesn’t have VESA mount compatibility, so you will have to rely on the included stand as the sole mounting option for the unit, measuring 16.3 by 20.9 by 7.9 inches (HWD) and weighing 12.9 pounds. The display only supports tilt, so you’re missing height and swivel adjustments.

The Dell 24 AIO has a maximum resolution of 1,920-by-1,080 pixels – quite ideal for a 24-inch, but would be underwhelming for a 27-inch AIO, where individual pixels begin to make a showcase. Still,  the IPS display delivers crisp visuals, thanks to vibrant colors, ample brightness, and white viewing angles.

Port selection is OK, with a front accessible USB Type-C connection, and more around the back: four USB 3.2 Type-A ports, a Gigabit Ethernet jack, an SD card reader, a 3.5mm headset jack, and separate HDMI 1.4b input and output ports. Wireless connectivity comes via Intel Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, alongside a wireless mouse and keyboard.

At the bottom of the screen is a speaker bar, which houses 5-watt speakers that produce decent sound, but solid bass performance is missing. Dolby Atmos makes things a bit better, but not to a level where you can fully enjoy bass-forward music.

Performance

The Dell EC24250 All-In-One is powered by a newer Intel Core 3 100U processor, 8GB DDR5 RAM, and 512GB SSD, and Windows 11 Home pre-installed; a similar spec sheet you’ll find in most midrange laptops. The Core 3-100U is an entry-level mobile CPU based on the Raptop Lake-U Refresh series (Alder Lake architecture), released in January 2024. This CPU boasts 2 performance cores and 4 of the 8 efficiency cores. Its performance is slightly above that of the older Intel Core i3-1315U processor.

The Dell 24 is a serious contender in the entry-level AIO space, but its specs limit it from being one of the best gaming AIOs or top picks for video editing or graphic design to compete with the Apple iMac M4 or the Lenovo Yoga AIO 27. For general productivity tasks, this AIO performs well, and the 512GB SSD storage capacity should be more than adequate for storing all your files, and it’s faster than traditional hard drives.

This Dell EC24250 is designed for the modern office, student, or family. It’s stylish, quick to start, easy to navigate, and runs all modern computing tasks without a hitch. Whether you’re looking for a machine that can help with daily tasks like multitasking on email, web browsing, and word processing, or you’re looking to stream video, music, and do some light photo editing and gaming too, the Dell AIO won’t disappoint.

As with most entry-level AIO systems, gaming performance isn’t optimized due to a lack of a strong graphics processor. Thus, 3D gaming here comes out as a slideshow, and cannot be boosted in any way. You’ll be all right if you stick to everyday and video tasks, and avoid any temptation to run 3D games.

Dell 24 All-in-One (EC24250) Review : Verdict

The Dell EC24250 All-in-One is an excellent choice if you want a simple, attractive, versatile desktop for basic tasks. It will look great in both a home office or living room; it’s not overly large, runs quiet and looks beautiful. It also comes with plenty of connectivity for both wired and wireless peripherals, and even HDMI-in for an external video source, such as a game console. Its vibrant 1080p display also holds up well.

Beyond that, its laptop-class CPU and lack of higher-resolution display options are hard to overlook, especially with the competing Apple iMac M4 starting for a few hundred dollars more. Still, Dell’s AIO remains a stellar PC for desktop PC buyers on a budget, especially when you can find it on a sale.
