The Hisense U6 Pro is a mid-range 4K television that brings several features normally associated with more expensive TVs into a more accessible package. Its combination of Mini-LED backlighting, Quantum Dot color, a native 144Hz refresh rate, full-array local dimming, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDMI 2.1 and an anti-reflection display makes it one of the more versatile TVs in Hisense’s lineup.

Rather than competing directly with premium OLED televisions, the U6 Pro focuses on delivering a bright, colorful and responsive picture that works well for movies, sports, streaming and gaming. It is particularly interesting for buyers who watch TV in bright rooms or want a large screen that can double as a gaming display.

The U6 Pro is available in multiple sizes, including 55, 65, 75, 85 and 100 inches, giving buyers plenty of options depending on room size and budget. Our review unit is the 65-inch Hisense 65U6SF Pro with a 3840 x 2160 4K resolution, which is now standard for modern mid-range and premium televisions.

The Hisense U6 Pro is a 2026 model. Hisense announced its 2026 ULED Mini-LED lineup in March 2026, with the U6SF Pro following later in the year. Currently, it is listed as a 2026 television, with availability beginning in the U.S. around spring 2026.

Features

The Hisense U6 Pro boasts a 4K Mini-LED ULED display with Quantum Dot technology. The Mini-LED backlight and full-array local dimming help deliver stronger contrast, brighter highlights and better control over dark scenes than a conventional LED TV, while Quantum Dot technology produces richer and more vibrant colors. While it doesn’t match the current range of OLED TVs susch as the LG OLED C5 in clarity and picture brightness, it still does a fine job compared to conventional LED TVs.

Another stand oit feature on the Hisense 65U6SF Pro  is the native 144Hz refresh rate. This makes the U6 Pro  Series particularly well suited to fast-moving content, including sports and gaming. The higher refresh rate allows for smoother motion and gives compatible PC hardware the ability to take advantage of frame rates above 120Hz. As a result, the TV handles gaming pretty fine, especially with features like HDMI 2.1, VRR and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support.

These features help reduce screen tearing and provide smoother gameplay when frame rates fluctuate. Combined with the 144Hz panel, the U6 Pro is considerably more capable for gaming than a typical 60Hz mid-range TV.

For HDR content, the TV supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 and HLG. The combination of HDR support, Mini-LED backlighting and local dimming allows bright highlights to stand out while maintaining better detail in darker areas. There can still be some blooming around bright objects, but the overall HDR performance is strong for its class.

The Hisense U6 Pro also features an anti-reflection, glare-free display, making it particularly useful in bright living rooms. Its Amazon Fire TV platform provides access to major streaming services and apps, while the built-in subwoofer and Dolby Atmos support give the TV more capable audio than many similarly thin televisions.

Connectivity is equally well covered, with four HDMI ports, including eARC, alongside USB connectivity. Available screen sizes range from 55 to 100 inches, giving buyers flexibility depending on their room and viewing distance. Overall, the combination of Mini-LED, 144Hz, modern gaming features, broad HDR support and anti-reflection technology makes the U6 Pro one of the more feature-rich TVs in its class.

Picture Quality

The Hisense U6 Pro delivers an impressive picture for a mid-range TV, thanks to its combination of Mini-LED backlighting, full-array local dimming and Quantum Dot color. The result is a brighter, more contrast-rich image than you’d get from a conventional LED or standard QLED TV. Dark scenes have more depth, while bright highlights such as sunlight, headlights and explosions have plenty of impact. It doesn’t match OLED for perfect blacks, but the overall picture is considerably more dynamic than most TVs in this price range.

Color is another strong point. The Quantum Dot layer produces rich, vibrant colors that work particularly well with HDR movies, sports and games. Compared with more restrained-looking TVs from Sony, the U6SF Pro tends to favor a punchier presentation, while its Mini-LED backlight gives it an advantage over standard QLED models when it comes to contrast. HDR support is also excellent, with Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HDR10, allowing compatible content to take advantage of the TV’s brightness and local-dimming system.

Motion performance is another highlight, with the native 144Hz panel keeping fast-moving sports and games smooth and responsive. Combined with VRR, HDMI 2.1 and FreeSync Premium Pro, the U6 Pro is more than just a good movie TV; it is a genuinely capable gaming display. While premium Mini-LED models from Samsung and Sony can offer more sophisticated processing and finer backlight control, the U6SF Pro strikes an excellent balance between brightness, color, contrast and motion. For the money, its picture quality is one of the TV’s biggest strengths.

Compared with its main competitors, the Hisense 65U6SF Pro offers a particularly strong balance of picture quality and features. Samsung’s mid-range QLED and Mini-LED TVs can deliver excellent brightness and processing, while Sony’s comparable models often have more refined upscaling and natural-looking picture processing. OLED TVs such as the Samsung QN80H Neo series still have the edge for perfect blacks and viewing angles, but the U6SF Pro counters with strong brightness, anti-reflection treatment and a native 144Hz refresh rate.

Stacked against similarly priced LED and QLED models, its Mini-LED backlight, full-array local dimming, Dolby Vision, HDMI 2.1 and VRR give it a more complete feature set, making it one of the more compelling choices for buyers who want a TV that can handle movies, sports and gaming equally well. The biggest limitation is blooming, which can appear when bright objects are displayed against very dark backgrounds. Subtitles, stars and small highlights can sometimes produce a faint halo because the backlight operates in zones rather than at the individual-pixel level.

Gaming Performance

The Hisense 65U6SF Pro is a strong gaming TV, thanks to its native 144Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1, VRR and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. The high refresh rate delivers smoother motion, while VRR helps reduce screen tearing and stuttering when frame rates fluctuate.

For PC gamers, the 144Hz panel is particularly useful with compatible hardware capable of exceeding 120fps. Console gamers also benefit from HDMI 2.1 and VRR, making the U6SF Pro a good match for modern PlayStation and Xbox systems.

Compared with similarly priced QLED and LED TVs, the Hisense U6 Pro offers a more complete gaming package. OLED models still have an advantage in response time and contrast, but the Hisense counters with higher brightness, Mini-LED HDR performance and an anti-reflection screen, making it an excellent choice for gaming in brighter rooms.

Sound quality

The Hisense U6 Pro has a more ambitious built-in audio system than many televisions in this price category. A built-in subwoofer gives the TV additional bass, while Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual support help create a wider sound presentation. The result is better suited to everyday viewing than the extremely thin sound produced by many modern TVs.

Dialogue is clear enough for regular television and streaming, while sports and general entertainment benefit from the additional low-end response. However, the built-in speakers still have physical limitations. If you’re buying the U6SF Pro specifically for movies, a dedicated soundbar or surround system will make a noticeable difference. The good news is that eARC support makes it easy to connect compatible external audio equipment.

Smart TV and Menus

The Hisense U6 Pro runs on Amazon Fire TV, giving it a familiar interface centered around streaming content, apps and recommendations. The home screen puts recently watched content and popular shows front and center, while major streaming services are easily accessible without needing an external streaming device. Alexa integration is also built in, allowing you to search for content and control compatible TV functions using voice commands.

The menus are generally straightforward and responsive, with picture, sound and gaming settings easy to find when you need to make adjustments. The Fire TV interface can feel a little busy because of its content recommendations and Amazon-focused layout, but navigation is simple enough for everyday use. Overall, it isn’t the most minimalist smart-TV experience available, but it is feature-rich, familiar and practical, particularly for users already invested in the Amazon ecosystem.

The remote control follows the familiar Fire TV approach, with a compact layout and dedicated shortcut buttons for popular streaming services. The buttons are clearly arranged, making it easy to access the home screen, settings, apps and playback controls without much learning. Alexa voice control is also built in, which is useful for searching for movies, launching apps or adjusting compatible TV functions. It isn’t the most premium-feeling remote in the category, but it is practical, responsive and well suited to everyday use.

Hisense U6 Pro Review: Verdict

The Hisense U6 Pro is a very convincing mid-range Mini-LED TV. Its biggest strengths are its bright and colorful picture, strong HDR performance, anti-reflection screen and excellent gaming feature set. The native 144Hz panel is particularly impressive at this level, while HDMI 2.1 and VRR make the TV ready for modern gaming hardware.

There are some compromises. Blooming can appear in difficult dark scenes, viewing angles aren’t as strong as OLED, and the television doesn’t produce the perfect blacks of an OLED panel. But the U6SF Pro doesn’t need to. Its appeal is that it delivers a broad collection of genuinely useful features in one package.

If you have a bright living room, watch a lot of sports, play games or simply want a large 4K TV with strong HDR without paying flagship prices, the Hisense U6 Pro (65U6SF) is money well spent.
