The material in the uppers is very breathable which is nice on hot days. They also have a very stable, thick sole which is perfect for running on asphalt. The Excite seem a bit more narrow in the toe box but otherwise run true to size. We would order them again!

    Take my advice, upsize half size bigger
    Size: 11.5, Color: Winter Sea/Black
    I need to start suggesting everyone that owns Gel-Kayano, Gel-Cumulus and/or GT-1000 14, that if for example you wear US men's size 11 with these, order 11.5 in Gel-Excite 11. When I did a search using AI for getting suggestions on the fitment and sizing of the Gel-Excite's 11, I got 'order half size up' in all results, I was a little skeptical but I follow the suggestions and I'm glad I did because no way that size 11 would've fit me, 11.5 fit me perfectly as the Gel-Kayano 32 in size 11. I've just tried these one, so far I feel them comfortable, I walked for 5K steps and haven't had any discomfort with my flat feet and the issue I have with my left knee patellar tendon. I stood up for 30 minutes while I waited for my car at the carwash, no issues. Time will tell about durability, but I can say the looks and comfort are pretty good for such a budget shoe.
