It does an excellent job in highlighting the improvements Sony has introduced over and above the already excellent X900E series from last year – enhanced processing, better brightness, subtly enhanced backlight dimming zones, even superb motion performance.
The Samsung UN55RU7100FXZA makes for a decent, budget-friendly 4K smart TV that offers good enough performance and HDR support, making it ideal for a mid-size living room. However, this isn’t the best we’ve seen, competitors offer better color reproduction and accuracy. If you can live with deficiencies in those areas, the smart features offered on the RU7100 along with a 4K resolution make for a good value.
