Starting for well under $1000 and scaling all the way to $4,500, the CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme line casts a wide net. It features an Intel Core i5-13400F processor, 16GB DDR5 RAM, 1TB SSD storage, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card. Though it doesn’t have the latest-gen processor to match the newer GPU, the GXiVR8060A40 is a winner thanks to its low asking price, solid hardware options, easy-to-swap industry-standard parts, and the all-familiar, gorgeous design. Design & Features

CyberPowerPC’s Gamer Xtreme GXiVR8060A40 is, in many ways, a nice-looking mid-tower, though it’s compact enough to fit on most desks. The chassis is a black metallic box with glass on the front to showcase your RGB fans and a tempered glass side panel to show off the beautiful internals and cable work.

At 23.23 x 22.09 x 13.43 inches and weighing 34.7 pounds, the Gamer Xtreme is fairly compact. Compared, the Alienware Aurora R16, newly redesigned to be a more conventional size is slightly smaller. To access the system’s internal components, you need to remove the transparent side panel that’s held in place by thumbscrews, and you’re done.

Port selection is decent, but not excellent, since the machine lacks a USB Type-C port that’s becoming standard in both laptops and desktop PCs. Front access ports are located on the top of the machine. They include two USB Type-A ports, microphone jacks, a headphone jack, a power button, a reset button, and a drive activity light-up.

Around the back, there are an additional six USB ports, two legacy PS/2 ports for older mice/keyboards, and audio jacks. On the GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card, there are 2 x DisplayPort and 1 x HDMI connections for multi-monitor setups.

Gaming Performance

The CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXiVR8060A40 unit is configured with an Intel Core i5-13400F processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 (8GB) graphics card, 1TB SSD storage, and 16GB of DDR5 6000MHz memory in a single-channel configuration. This is an entry-level gaming machine, but one that still packs a punch if you’re looking to play your games at 1080p – you can get some good gameplay in 1440p as well. With the RTX 5060 GPU, this PC is ready to run most modern titles at m-d-high settings.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is a mid-range desktop GPU in the Blackwell architecture and combines 3,840 CUDA cores with 8GB DDR7 to deliver steady gameplay across the range. Thanks to a boost in dedicated RT/CUDA cores and the new architecture, this card offers better performance than its predecessor, the RTX 4060.

The CyberPowerPC GXiVR8060A40 plays Assassin’s Creed: Shadows fluently at 1080p (high) resolution at a steady 61 fps, drops to 47 fps in 1440p, and just under 25fps in 4K. With DLSS activated in 1440p, the fps gets boosted to 35fps, which shows just how newer features can boost overall gaming performance.

The Gamer Xtreme’s competition includes the Skytech Gaming Storm with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 processor and RTX 5060 (8GB) GPU, and the Acer Nitro 60 with an Intel Core i5-14400F, 16GB RAM, and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card. The CyberPowerPC is the cheapest in that category, costing just under a grand, and you can always find it on sale.

The similar load-outs of these machines translate to near-similar results in benchmark tests, where the CyberPowerPC was rarely more than a few frames per second (fps) above or below the Skytech and the Acer.

CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXiVR8060A40 Review: Verdict

CyberPowerPC has a winner with its Gamer Xtreme GXiVR8060A40 PC. It might not be the most powerful gaming PC you’ll buy in 2025, but the company holds the line on pricing while delivering a system with an Intel Core i5 processor, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card. We are also impressed by its case, beautiful RGB fans, aftermarket upgradeability, and extensive lighting controls.

Next to the competition, the iBuyPower Slate Mesh provides better value than the Gamer Xtreme and features standardized parts for superior upgradeability, is quieter, and offers up to 1440p gameplay at high settings. However, you’ll spend a few more dollars for the bump from 1080p to 1440p and some 4K in the Slate Mesh. However, if you’re on a tight budget and looking to play your titles at 1080p, the CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXiVR8060A40 remains among the best options available.

Ultimately, I think the CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXiVR8060A40 is a great prebuilt gaming PC with an attractive, easy-to-open case that delivers a lot of value for your money.
